Things to do in Cape Liberty while waiting for your cruise

Cape Liberty is one of the most vibrant and interesting areas in New York. No matter how early you arrive, there will surely be things to do: museums, restaurants, shops, attractions and more. In any case, it′s advisable to reach the port about three hours before the cruise time. 

Arrived two hours before? 

Go for some shopping. There are many shops and boutiques around the port offering clothes, souvenirs and more.

How to Get to Cape Liberty Port

Cape Liberty is a large and established port, located about half an hour from New York′s tourist area. The nearest airport is Newark - EWR, only about a 15-minute drive from the terminal. It′s recommended to visit one of the many attractions of the Big Apple, such as the Empire State Building or the Statue of Liberty.

Arrival by Taxi 

Taking a taxi is the recommended and easiest way to get to the port gates. From New York, you can take a short taxi ride of about 20 minutes.

Arrival by Ferry or Train

If you′re coming from Manhattan, you can combine a ferry\train and a short taxi ride. The train to take is the PATH Rapid Transit System. Overall, the journey takes about 50 minutes to an hour.

Arrival by Bus 

Most buses leave from the Port Authority Bus Terminal and arrive at Hoboken Terminal. From there, take an additional bus (line 126). The journey takes about an hour.

Arrival by Air

The nearest airport is Newark International, located about 17 km from Cape Liberty. From there, you can take a taxi.
